OPPA Celebrates 40 Years as Ohio's Voice for Prevention!

Join Ohio’s prevention community for OPPA Conference 2024, a one-day, in-person event for Ohio’s prevention professionals and advocates, taking place Thursday, May 2, 2024; 9:00am - 4:00pm, at The Fawcett Center in Columbus (with free, ample on-site parking).

Themed Navigating Change: How Prevention Stays Adaptable, the conference explores the current and future landscapes of prevention with Ohio’s prevention experts and leaders, including building on our field's resilience and forward-thinking approach to prevention.

The conference day also kicks off recognition of OPPA’s 40th anniversary as Ohio’s Voice for Prevention -- and features presentation of the 2024 OPPA Prevention Awards, honoring prevention excellence in our state. Professional networking with prevention peers and advocates from all over Ohio is also a hallmark of the OPPA Conference.

"We are building on last year's triumphant return to an in-person conference by kicking off our 40-year anniversary celebration at our 2024 event," notes OPPA President Holly Zweizig. "The best way to recognize our history? With our tradition of education, dialogue, and networking that grounds the OPPA Conference. We look forward to welcoming Ohio's prevention community 'home,' once again."

Registration opens at 8:15am. Continental breakfast and lunch are included.
